About
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington with over 8 years of experience. I grew up in Massachusetts, and have retained much of my east coast directness (and crassness), even after spending much of my adult life in Washington. I received my Bachelor’s in Social Welfare from the University of Washington and graduated from the University of Chicago with my Master’s degree in 2018. As a queer person, I’ve focused much of my social work career on working within the LGBTQIA+ community; after college, I worked as case manager at Fenway Health in Boston, and later as a therapist at Seattle Counseling Service.
Outside of work, I can be found digging in the dirt in my garden, making a mess in the kitchen, and swimming in Lake Washington.
I came to this work after experiencing profound healing through a long-term therapeutic relationship. I was first introduced to Internal Family Systems as a client, and something sparked and opened in me and I knew that I needed to learn more. I dove deeply into studying IFS, and later completed Level I and II training.
My work with clients shifted after experiencing IFS, and I continued to hear from them that the most helpful work we had done together involved working with the parts of them that were in conflict with each other or stuck in the past. I continue to find this work transformational, both in my own life and in my work with clients.
